Ryan Bailey is a dancer, choreographer and visual artist based in the DMV and NYC. Choreography is my gateway to transforming physical complexity and pleasure into powerful yet subtle emotion through endless gestures. I aim to showcase and entertain highly physical sensibilities, using joint articulation, release techniques, and standout gravity defying feats while permissing the audience into my vulnerable, often self-deprecating world. I am driven to understand how a timeline affects a complicated body, how limitations of inflexibility and handicaps can stretch the imagination.
